So what’s this site about?

You Can Hire an Artist is a virtual art gallery that showcases the artwork for sale by Kathleen Benton.  The site also displays examples of art commissioned for commercial or private purposes that may inspire other custom-made art projects for either businesses or individuals.

Whose artwork is shown here? 

The artist’s work being shown at this site is my own.  My name is Kathleen Benton.  Ever since I got my first box of Crayola Crayons I have been making art and so it was quite natural for me to turn that love of creation into a career.  I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Ohio State University  in drawing and painting and received a Master’s degree in studio art from New York University.   For many years I have been hired as an employee or have been given commissions on freelance basis by art studios in the New York metropolitan area.  My studio is in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York, not far from the New York City line.        

If you are not located in the New York City vicinity, I am happy to arrange for the shipping of any art piece or project to anywhere in the world that you may request.

The artwork currently being shown on the site is traditional drawing and painting, but I like to think my creativity has no bounds.  Besides drawing and painting I’m also competent in several craft media.  So go ahead and ask about a project using other types of art materials.  I’ll let you know if I have experience with the medium or if I know another artist who might be able to help.
