It is very gratifying to have my art work included in the 3rd Annual Blue Door Artist Association Members Juried Exhibition.  The included works were selected by juror Jeffrey P. Mueller, director of Silvermine Guild Art Gallery, New Haven, CT.  The exhibit will be open to the public from January 8th through February 5, 2011.  The opening reception will take place on Sunday, January 9th from 2pm-5pm.  Awards will be announced at 2:30.  This exhibit opening coincides with the opening reception at Upstream Gallery’s “Dimensions” show in Dobbs Ferry, NY, which will also include my work.  The galleries are six miles apart and just a short train or car ride from each other.  I do hope to see you here or there!

    “Dimensions” at Upstream Gallery

Four of my Camouflage Fish painting series will be swimming upstream for the month of January 2011.  They will be included in the juried group show Dimensions at Upstream Gallery in Dobbs Ferry, NY.

Curated by Ned Harris, Luis Perelman, and Howard Nathanson the show is described as “small-scale sculpture using a  unique variety of mixed materials.  My work is decidedly painting, but what gives each one their “sculptural” leaning is that I let the painting surface flow into drips over sides of the canvas and then mounted each canvas in a frame that allows the canvas sides to project from the frame.

The exhibit opens to the public on January 6th and will run through January 30, 2011.  The opening reception will take place on Sunday, January 9th from 2pm – 5pm.  This opening coincides with another gallery show and opening reception in which my work is included, Blue Door Gallery’s 3rd Annual Blue Door Artist Association Members Juried Exhibition in Yonkers, NY.  Only six miles apart on the Hudson River, it is an easy drive or train ride to go from one gallery to the next.  I hope to see you at these events.  Feel free to contact me if you would like to meet at either gallery during the exhibitions.
